An Interdisciplinary Introduction to the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM)

Registration: To register for this event, go to the Eventbrite link.

Many of us have heard of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery in Music or GIM.  Those who know about it understand that it is an effective, evidence based approach to helping a wide range of clients.  This event provides the opportunity for practicing counselors and therapists to expand their repertoire of knowledge and skills.

Program Description

In this 2-hour presentation, we will discuss the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) as a related therapy modality. The presenter will provide an introduction to the modality, discuss the course of therapy, populations that can benefit from GIM, training opportunities, and referral sources. We will address what GIM looks like as therapy in practice and will provide examples, case conceptualizations, and direct experience with the modality. The presentation will be concluded with a summary of course content, an opportunity for direct experience, and provide space for questions.
