Janet Newsham, LPC-MHSP, has accrued considerable skill in examining and practicing around ethically and legally sensitive issues that involve therapists’ attitudes toward clients who identify in the LGBTQIA+ community.  This session aims to help attendees to share their relevant stories, teach one another about how to provide client-affirmative therapy to those in the community, examine specific issues about which insight may be needed as well as look at potential internal biases that have not been uncovered, and create practical approaches to real life situations.
